Onboarding a Berkeley Lab Affiliate
For Project Leads bringing new teammates onsite:
Submit a Cyclotron Road Affiliate Appointment Request form
Please allow a minimum of 2 weeks for the Lab to process the request
A formal application will be sent to the affiliate to complete.
Access
Once Affiliate status is awarded, a welcome email will be sent which contains critical information:
Lab ID (AKA "LDAP") * Instructions to log into account, including LBL email (via Gmail)
Activate your account first to use it - do so by logging in here.
Contact IT Help Desk via Chat or call them at 510-486-4357 if you have any issues or need your password reset
Obtain site-access badge by requesting a Badge Appointment
Site access hours: Monday - Friday, 6am - 8pm
Inquire about a parking pass at your Badge Appointment; unmarked parking spaces are OK to use
WiFi
On "the Hill": join "lbnl-visitor" network. No password required. Or select lbnl-employee, and log in using your LBNL identity (your LDAP) and password.
